Do not put yourself so low just because you are still a novice. You have all the time in the world to hone your skills and learn from the best. Plus, use those criticisms to serve as your stepping stones instead.

Lastly, apply the right level of water on those materials. If you think that the oil content in the paint is enough, just have a trial and error with the application. Gain fluidity from this practice.
