Tips For Getting The Right Custom Trade Show Swag For Your Brand

For many consumers the best part about going to trade shows and event s are the free stuff that the companies give away. For the business man, this can be the perfect avenue to advertise their brand and leave a good first impression. In this case, the first impression should last. The great thing about being a brand in these events is how the people who attend them are more likely the ones that are purchasing customers or prospects.

Swag done right can be the difference between a productive trade show and one that would not even make a dent in your business. Having a well designed custom trade show swag is guaranteed to keep your brand in the minds of many. And for good reason too, since nothing can be better than a reliable company that gives away cool free stuff.

Swag is not some hip thing in this case, it is merely a term used for the object that is getting handed out for free in trade shows. This serves as some sort of calling card for a whole brand. If you are going to hand out something people are going to remember you brand by, might as well make it cool and useful.

There are countless benefits that a brand can get by having the right give away. The question now lies with how exactly should these things be designed. More importantly, is the matter of what the item should be. Not getting the right item could mean that what your are handing out might as well end up in the trash.

A clever give away is definitely something worth keeping and remembering. Imagine if a prospect can associate your purpose and company to something they constantly have on hand, like a key chain or a pocket flash light. These would completely make sense if your brand manufactured doors and lighting fixtures.

You have the choice of making these objects either practical or unique. Practicality is usually the go to reason for many companies, simply because they are just very useful. There have been countless times you have seen tote bags, mugs, pens, reusable water bottles and so on, in these kinds of events. Strongly consider your demographic and what would be the item they would appreciate the most.

If your demographic are seniors and would not use computers as often, it may not be the wisest idea to hand out USB chargers. Durability of what you plan to give away can say a lot about the brand. Yes, swag is meant to be cheap, more often than not breakable and temporary. The danger is if the prospect would end up associating your business with these adjectives.

A booth positioned at the back may best work with water jugs since the audience may be more likely to be thirsty by then. If you are positioned near the entrance, a tote bag would be a good choice since it is expected that other companies will also hand some stuff out. At least that way they have a container to put it all in.

You can even squeeze in a call to action statement in the object. This can be a statement with promotional value like if they show a certain sticker in an outlet somewhere they can get a discount or a free quotation for a service. The point is that even after they leave the trade show, they would still have a chance to contact you and remember your brand.
