Basic Tips In Choosing And Writing Birthday Ecards

By Gary Morgan

Birthday cards are a way of greeting people on their birthdays which you can write a personal message for that celebrant. These are done usually when it is not possible for you to personally send your gifts or you have not bought one. Other cards have messages already written also on them and choosing which one that has something that is similar to the one you want to tell them is what you need to only do.

With the internet becoming more popular and giving convenience to people, your heartfelt messages can now be sent in another way. This is through birthday ecards that you can either make on your own or choose from the thousands of available online selections. Here are some essential guides in composing a message to any celebrant.

Carefully choose your cards for any person so adding a longer personal message will not be needed for you to do. Letting the design and print do their job in greeting them is fine and you need only add a short personal one. This is useful during times of wanting to keep them short and sweet when everything you are thinking of saying is already on the card.

Milestone birthdays are those ages where people traditionally considered them to be as one like the eighteenth, twenty first, fiftieth, and others. The celebrant may not feel that this particular birthday is different from others so it would be your job to make them feel that. Cards are available where the age number is prominently featured in their design.

Sometimes, you get too busy because of responsibilities like work and only remembered their birthday after the actual date. Insert a sincere apology for the tardiness or make this an opportunity for writing a humorous one instead. This may even make them remember you more in a good way if it is done properly.

When sending one for kids, keep your wishes short, sweet and fun because even though they have learned how to read, they are not excited reading long ones. Some adults do not want you to remind them their new age but kids love this showing that you know it. If the number is not already printed then write it somewhere in your message.

When giving one to a family member, you have probably given a lot of times before throughout the years of living together. Changing your personal message every time or alternating between longer and shorter ones is great. If the family relationship is not printed already then use the title you address them or mention your relationship.

Tough times might have happened before or during their birthdays like bereavement, job loss, illness or other circumstances. Send a card and let them know that you are still thinking of and celebrating with them their special day in spite of what happened. You might even brighten their day up by putting humor in your letter.

When sending to a fellow worker you are close with then do as you would do with your other friends. But if strictly work relationship only then remain formal with the messages. Do not include work related things on it.
